The Fall Harvest Educational Guided Tour

Come and join us for a fun day of learning on the farm! The Fall Harvest tour takes approximately an hour for the educational portion. (Reservations are required. See below.) Then enjoy the Family Fun Park at your own pace and go home with a free Pumpkin you pick out of the Pumpkin Patch.

The Fall Harvest tour at Remlinger Farms makes learning so much fun!

  • Animal Barnyard - Lessons taught in the animal barn adhere to next generation science standards where kids participate in an unforgettable educational adventure! Our farm animals offer a hands-on experience where kids can learn about the vital role these animals play in our daily lives. From understanding where our food comes from to discovering the unique behaviors and characteristics of each animal, children will engage in fun, interactive lessons that connect them with the farm. You may want to wear your farmer’s overalls because you will practically be an expert by the time you leave!

*Note: Hand washing stations are provided outside of the animal petting areas -- please have everyone use them to help protect yourself and the children from possible exposure to naturally occurring bacteria potentially present with live animals.
  • Pioneer Home - You’ll be able to walk through an authentically furnished pioneer home and listen to our own Pioneer Woman explain how the first settlers survived in the West. You will get to hear all about how the early settlers came to the west, learned to grow crops and created tools to survive on the harsh frontier.
  • Steam Train - Did you know that the steam trains played a very large role in the development of modern society. Many early settlers worked their way out west laying tracks and paving the way to transport machinery and people, forever changing the face of industry in America. Take a ride on our authentic steam train and transport yourself back to the days of the pioneers, winding through the trees and along the river. Imagine yourself discovering new land that you had never seen before!
  • Unlimited Play at our Family Fun Park - After the educational tour, kids will have a blast exploring and playing in our exciting park. They’ll race up Tunnel Mountain and dig with the sand diggers. There are plenty of thrilling rides to enjoy with friends, including a classic Carousel, Mini Ferris Wheel, Spinning Barrels, the Flying Pumpkin, a Jump Pad, and a climb on the Inflatable Truck. Whether your group wants to spend an additional 30 minutes or up to two hours, there’s plenty of adventure and endless fun waiting for everyone!
  • Gift for You - as an added bonus, each person chooses their own PUMPKIN to take home at the end of the tour. You may pick any size pumpkin (as large as you can carry) out of our pumpkin patch.

The Fall Harvest Guided tour and Family Fun park is a great educational value at only $21.00 per child and half price $10.50 per teacher/chaperone. You'll want to come back again and again for this affordable tour!

When you arrive at the farm for your reserved tour time, check in at the Customer Service Desk.

Remlinger Farms, a generational part of the greater Carnation Community

Remlinger Heritage, Animals & Education Program Mission: A Journey into Agricultural Education and Animal Empathy

At Remlinger Farms, our mission is to provide a deeply enriching educational experience for children of all ages through meaningful animal interaction and a comprehensive understanding of where our food comes from. We believe in cultivating not just knowledge, but also empathy, respect, and responsibility towards animals and agriculture.

Our innovative programs are designed with educators, school groups, homeschoolers, and scout troops in mind, offering hands-on experiences that go beyond the classroom. Through engaging activities in our Animal Barn, Pioneer Village, and expansive pumpkin patch, we aim to instill a lasting love and respect for animals, while also fostering a curiosity about the origins of our food. We strive to create a sense of wonder in young hearts and minds, encouraging them to connect with the natural world in a profound and meaningful way.

But our mission doesn’t stop at just animal interaction. We’re committed to agri-education—helping children understand the vital role that agriculture plays in our daily lives. By bridging the gap between urban and rural communities, we aim to inspire the next generation of informed advocates who appreciate the complexities of the agricultural industry and are empowered to make thoughtful, positive choices in their lives.

Ultimately, we believe that by intertwining meaningful animal interactions with a comprehensive understanding of food origins, we can inspire a generation of conscientious individuals. These future leaders will appreciate the value of life, understand the importance of sustainable practices, and be equipped to make decisions that positively impact the world around them.

Join us at Remlinger Farms, where education meets adventure, and where young minds are nurtured to grow with knowledge, empathy, and respect. Whether you're an educator planning a school trip, a homeschooler seeking an enriching experience, or a scout leader looking for an engaging outing, our program is designed to leave a lasting impression and inspire a lifelong love for animals and agriculture.
